A line of Jewish refugees who fled Poland

Jewish refugees from Poland wait for food and medical attention from the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) outside a reception center in Nachod, Czechoslovakia, near the Polish border, 1946. These Jewish refugees were part of the postwar flight of Jews from eastern Europe to Allied occupied zones in western Europe and, eventually, to British Mandate Palestine via the Brihah movement.
