Antisemitic violence in German-occupied Lwów began on June 30, 1941, and escalated into a pogrom on July 1. The perpetrators consisted of non-Jewish men and women, including local Polish and Ukrainian civilians; German forces; Ukrainian militiamen; and Ukrainian nationalist activists. Children and teenagers participated in this violence. In this photo, a boy attacks a man with a broom as several adult males in the small crowd restrain the victim.
