Mostrine della 45a divisione di fanteria. La 45ª divisione di fanteria si guadagnò il suo soprannome, divisione “Thunderbird” (ovvero Uccello del Tuono), dal simbolo dell’uccello dorato. Questo simbolo degli indiani d’America divenne l’emblema della divisione nel 1939. Sostituì un altro simbolo dei pellirossa, utilizzato in precedenza, ovvero una svastica che fu ritirata quando divenne associata con il partito nazista.
