The Belzec killing center was located in Nazi-occupied Poland between Zamosc and Lwów (today Lviv, Ukraine). It was established as one of three killing centers linked to Operation Reinhard, the SS plan to murder nearly 2 million Jews in occupied Poland. Between November 1941 and December 1942, the Nazis murdered approximately 434,500 Jews in the site’s gas chambers. Explore more content related to the Belzec killing center during the Holocaust.
