Churches

During the Holocaust (1933-1945), churches across the world responded to the Nazi rise to power and the persecution of Jews in various ways. Many German churches either supported or avoided conflict with the Nazis. Only a small minority of Christian churches spoke out against Hitler, and even fewer hid or rescued Jews.
