Eyshishok

Before World War II, Eyshishok was a predominantly Jewish town located in northeast Poland (now in Lithuania). On September 25 and 26, 1941, German Einsatzkommando 3 and Lithuanian auxiliary forces shot and killed approximately 3,500 Jews, including most of Eyshishok’s residents. The victims are remembered in the Tower of Faces exhibit at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. Explore more content related to the town of Eyshishok and the people that lived there.
