Anne Frank

Anne Frank (1929-1945) was a German girl and Jewish victim of the Holocaust who is famous for keeping a diary of her experiences. In July 1942, Anne and her family went into hiding in Amsterdam to evade Nazi persecution. For more than two years, Anne kept a diary in which she recorded her fears, hopes, and experiences. The Nazis discovered the place where Anne and others were hiding in 1944. Anne was deported to Westerbork, Auschwitz, and then Bergen-Belsen, where she died between February and March 1945.
