Badge worn by Eugeniusz Wojtas from 1940–1945

Following the German occupation of Poland, Nazi authorities conscripted millions of Poles for forced labor in Germany. There they were subjected to discriminatory policies, including the mandatory wearing of a small yellow patch with a purple P (Pole) on their clothing. Eugeniusz Wojtas wore the badge from fall 1940 until April 1945.
