Max Rosenblat was only two months old when Germany invaded Poland. The Germans occupied Radom and evicted all the Jews from the street where the Rosenblats lived. Max and his parents lived in a shack in a ghetto until August 1942, when the Germans began deporting all the Jews in Radom's ghettos who were unable to work. Max and his mother were deported to the Treblinka killing center and gassed upon arrival.
These maps add geographic context to Max's experience.
