Antwerp is a city in Belgium that was occupied by the Nazis between 1940 and 1944. During that time, many of Belgium’s 65,000–70,000 Jews lived in Antwerp. While many Jews were deported, there was also significant resistance in Belgium, with the civilian administration refusing to cooperate in the deportations.
