Bulgaria

Bulgaria joined the Axis alliance alongside Nazi Germany, Japan, and Italy in 1941. Bulgaria participated in the German-led attack on Yugoslavia and Greece, but not in the war against the Soviet Union. During the Holocaust, Bulgaria did not deport Jews from its borders; however, Jewish residents of Bulgarian-occupied Greek and Yugoslav territories were not spared.
