Gundskirchen was a subcamp of the Mauthausen concentration camp, located near Linz, Austria. The camp opened in April 1945, and housed thousands of prisoners evacuated on death marches from Mauthausen. Gunskirchen was liberated by the US 71st Infantry Division in May 1945.
