ドイツのブレスラウ市で学校の初日を待つユダヤ人の女の子2人（従妹MargotとLotte Cassel）。1937年ごろ。ドイツに伝わる子供たちのための伝統で、お菓子の詰まった三角コーンで学校の初日を祝います。Margotの父Saulは、ニュルンベルク法の施行により解雇されるまでTeitzデパートで働いていました。
