United Nations personnel vaccinate eight-year-old Auschwitz survivor Lusia Kałuszyner at the Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp in May 1946. Lusia was born in 1938 in Łódź, Poland. During World War II, the Nazis imprisoned her in a ghetto and several camps before sending her to Auschwitz in July 1944. The tattoo she received at Auschwitz, number A15515, is visible on her left forearm. She was liberated at Auschwitz on January 27, 1945.
