Chelmno

The Chelmno killing center was established by the Nazis in the Polish village of Chelmno (Kulmhof in German). Killing operations took place over two periods: from December 1941 until April 1943, and from June 1944-January 1945. It is estimated at least 172,000 people were killed there.
