Jakob Edelstein

Jakob Edelstein, chairman of the Jewish Council of Elders (Ältestenrat) in the Theresienstadt (Terezín) ghetto from December 1941 until January 1943. Edelstein was deported to Auschwitz in December 1943 and murdered there on June 20, 1944.
