マイダネクのガス室のドアの鋳物

米国国立ホロコースト記念博物館からの委託により、ポーランドのルブリン郊外にあるマイダネク絶滅強制収容所のガス室のドアを溶かして作った鋳物。 マイダネクは強制収容所、強制労働収容所、絶滅収容所として使われました。 マイダネクのそれぞれのガス室には金属製の密閉ドアが備え付けられ、ガスを室内に注入する前にボルトで固定されました。 ドアの上中央には、SS（ナチス親衛隊）の衛兵が殺害の過程を監視したのぞき穴があります。
