Einen Tag, nachdem Frankreich im Juni 1940 den Waffenstillstand mit Deutschland unterzeichnet hatte, feierte Adolf Hitler den Sieg über Frankreich mit einer Rundfahrt durch Paris. Hitlers Zug fährt in Paris ein. Hitlers Besichtigungstour führte ihn unter anderem in die Pariser Oper, auf die Prachtstraße Champs-Élysées, zum Arc de Triomphe und zum Eiffelturm. Nachdem er das Grab von Napoleon und Sacré Coeur besichtigt hatte, reiste Hitler wieder ab. Insgesamt verbrachte Hitler etwa drei Stunden in Paris. Im Juli kehrte Hitler triumphierend nach Berlin zurück.
