Judith Meisel décrit l'arrivée au camp de Stutthof

A la mort de son père, Judith et sa famille allèrent s'installer à Kovno. Bientôt, elles furent confinées dans le ghetto de Kovno que les Allemands avaient établi en août 1941. Judith, sa soeur et sa mère furent déportées à Stutthof, où sa mère mourut. Judith et sa soeur s'échappèrent lors d'une marche vers la mort hors de Stutthof. Elles se firent passer pour non juives et trouvèrent du travail dans une ferme puis se réfugièrent au Danemark. Leur frère survécut à Dachau.
