Stefania Podgorska (à droite), photographiée ici avec sa jeune sœur Helena (à gauche), aida les Juifs à survivre dans la Pologne sous occupation allemande. Elle fournit de la nourriture aux Juifs dans le ghetto de Przemysl. Après la destruction du ghetto par les Allemands en 1943, elle sauva 13 Juifs en les cachant dans son grenier.
