Series: Displaced Persons Camps

From 1945 to 1957, more than 250,000 Jewish displaced persons (DPs) lived in camps and urban centers in Germany, Austria, and Italy. Browse this series of articles to learn more about what life was like for Holocaust survivors living in DP camps after World War II. While DP camps existed in most Allied zones of occupation, this series focuses primarily on individual DP camps administered by the United States.
