Die deutsche Wehrmacht besetzt das polnische Krakau im September 1939. Im März 1941 ordneten die Deutschen die Errichtung eines Ghettos in Krakau an. Das Filmmaterial zeigt polnische Juden bei ihrem Zwangsumzug in das Krakauer Ghetto. Anhand der Armbinden wurde die jüdische Bevölkerung von den anderen Bewohnern der Stadt unterschieden. Ende 1941 waren im Krakauer Ghetto etwa 18.000 Juden inhaftiert.
